Split VPN Check Failed

This device is not currently connected through the required VPN path.

First, double-check that you are connected to GlobalProtect VPN. Look for either icon in your tray area: GlobalProtect disconnected icon Disconnected or GlobalProtect connected icon Connected. If you are already connected and this page still fails, follow the reinstall steps below.

Please reinstall and reconnect GlobalProtect:

  1. Browse to vpn.taillight.cloud and log in with your AD credentials (not your email address).
  2. Download the GlobalProtect client.
  3. If GlobalProtect is already installed, run the downloaded installer, choose the second checkbox to Uninstall GlobalProtect, and finish the uninstallation wizard.
  4. To install, rerun the downloaded installer and complete setup.

    macOS: During install, check ☑ GlobalProtect System Extensions. You may receive multiple prompts for granting permissions. Please grant them.

  5. Once the installation is finished, look for the GlobalProtect icon GlobalProtect disconnected icon in your tray area (top bar on macOS, clock area on Windows).
  6. Click the GlobalProtect icon GlobalProtect disconnected icon, enter vpn.taillight.cloud for the VPN Portal address, and click Connect.
  7. Log in again with your AD credentials.

If you have problems logging in, test your AD login at account.taillight.cloud. It is also a good place to enroll for self-service account recovery and password changes.
